Gestación
Necklace inspired by the Tupu, (ornament used as a pin by the Mapuche woman to secure the cloak that covered her), in combination whit tubes present in the Llol-llol pectoral jewel. In Mapuche culture, the tetrahedral principle related to number four symbolizes the four cardinal points, the four seasons of the year, stability.
The textile diagram has been taken from the Mapuche symbolism depicting Rayén, the flower, life, beauty, and feminine fertility. Blue cotton thread symbolizes water and the sky; black thread represents the space of gestation and death.
